The Box Office
Seems like no one has anything good to say about this film. Just about every review that I've read deems Aeon Flux as being the equivalent to Halle Berry's "Catwoman". As much as we all love Halle, the only thing that movie had going for it was her sex appeal. Aeon Flux is pretty much riding Charlize's sex appeal coat tail as well. If your looking for my opinion people, Bryn Says," wait for it to come on TBS" you know... Movies for Guys who like Movies lol that's where it belongs as a double feature with Jean Claude Van Damme's classic "Hard Target"

The Radio
Korn is nothing if not a survivor. Having helped launch the much-maligned nü-metal genre in 1994, Korn now finds itself with a new lineup, a new label and, on its seventh album, hints of a new sound. By choosing to work with songwriting outfit the Matrix and Nine Inch Nails collaborator Atticus Ross, the band could have alienated core fans. But for the most part, the producers simply add audio garnishing to Korn's signature sound via loops and Pro Tools trickery. There is more of an electronic influence than the band has shown before though, likely because of Ross. In fact, "Love Song" has more in common with NIN than Korn. While the middle of the set gets bogged down in midtempo songs, "Politics," "Coming Undone" and "Hypocrites" are worthy singles, while "For No One" and "Liar" will keep the old-school Korn fans happy. —Bram Teitelman |
